Cerebral Fallacies

Loss I wrote on the shore Lost Said the waves as they washed it away The sea knows It always has Yet each time it coalesces to attempt this boundless feat And bundle up this grief to take to other shores While I tell the waves turning away in situ I have emptied myself into thee Whatever dark was in me~ By  Lakshmi Ajay

This rain was once us This beauteous smell of the wet earth Our song. This upbeat odour, one of our intense longing and ardour This distance our frequency. Many monsoons I have waited thus Unyielding, unworthy circumstance And you left everything to chance. Now it evokes fresh injuries. Of martyred truths for chance revelations. Of innocent forebodings that turned down the light inside of us- The rains their charm, your voice, my arm All empty like the sky above you and me. Where there was once a song and now there is only the wrong.

What is happiness, I asked of the skies- What is the sea, they asked of me How long do I wait for happiness then, I said Until the sun comes out of us - they said- Why die?
