Trial by terror

On the eve of the 10 attacks by terrorists in Mumbai and some subsequent thoughts...

Yet another explosion. Yet another day filled with breaking news, smses, urgent phone calls and canteen talk of how the world is going to the crazies. A field day for the broadcast media and lots of future print will be spared for the victims, the police, the politicos, the must-have dones, the candle marches, how the spirit of the city took over and how how prejudice works in strange ways...A fresh understanding of communities, why little boys play with hand grenades and AK 47’s instead of toys and virtual games. A distortion of security truths and itsy bitsy cover ups that can save face of the government taken by surprise one too many times... The same old emotions played a myriad times, with different locations with different dates and different people... Yet some of our very own... A tragedy brings a collective emotion together, be it in indifference, in sadness or grief, shock or information or the lack of it! Whatcan explain tragedies like this? Nature brings its own tragedies that one cannot question only empathise and move on but people. Human beings with reasoning, intellect and education to boot and to go a step further sensibility, culture and perspective to boot.
While the world went about growing from villages to cities to cosmopolises, from barter to stocks and bulls and bears and cloning and virtual lives, there was some portion of the world that continued to rot in an integral way. Who is to be blamed and What are his conflicts?
While the world continues to grapple with an economic explosion and a very powerful cancer called terrorism, conflicting concepts like prejudices, immigration, cultural integration, religious intolerance and most importantly disater management. Studies should be initiated in the same and an effort is worth the effort to understand the phenomenon which mars the 21st century...And I Know I’m not the only one wondering and pondering about this?

...And yet again Mumbai will be applauded for its comeback spirit. Modi is saying he is disappointed with the PM...someone would be disappointed with him...is this really a time to play the blame game?
Yet again terror will reign for a few days and sadly life will go on without any lessons learnt.
There would be discussions over cups of tea, movies would be made, some books will become best sellers...and life will go on, yet again.
